Hinge question

I've been drawing some custom table plans, using Naked Whiz's plans as my template.  When determining the height of the shelf to hold the BGE itself, it references the following:

17" for Large BGE with auto-lock hinge; OR 

15" for Large BGE with spring hinge

Which hinge system do I have (picture attached)?  The Handler would obviously be removed before installing in a table.  It has springs, so maybe I've already answered my own question.  My BGE was purchased last summer, but I believe the store had it in their inventory for some time.  What is the current system being used for new BGEs?  Asked another way, if I bought another LBGE, would the hinges match?
