Table Nest Question

Not my first egg, but my first table nest. Assembled the nest but the center screw head is higher that the supporting arms (not flush). I'm concerned it will create a very high pressure point on the screw itself and would cause the egg base to crack. Is the bottom of the base concave? I am not able to see the bottom of the base right now. Any help?

Rustic Table Design

Thank you pork shoulder....

So my e90 beamer needed new rotors and pads all around, I was down to 1mm in the front and 2mm in the back, and these damn shops around here wanted 1700 for the work. 300 bucks later the job is done. Thanks to a buddy at work for guiding me along in the process and using his garage tools. I'm not a mechanic by any means but I can follow instructions well and love to learn new skill sets and my boy was a great teacher. So he gets pork and Tito's vodka as a thank you. And I now have a garage for future needs whenever needed. Good people deserve a proper thank you. Yea that's me covered in sweat knocking it out.

Casters for table

I'm in the process of building a table for my large egg and I am looking for casters.  I'll be using 4x4's for the legs and I am having a hard time finding casters with a plate that will fit.  Does anyone have any ideas?

My table is underway, stain/sealer recommendation?

Just got an egg for Father's Day and I am currently using the nest and side mates, but I wanted something bigger since we use it all the time.  My father is a really good carpenter and is retired, so I tasked him with building me a table.  Here are some shots of it in progress.  He is using clear cedar which I would like to stain.  What do you guys recommend?  It will be residing outside so I would like to make it as weather prof as possible.

My home-made egg table - pecky cypress

I've since made a second for a friend.  Pecky Cypress - mortise and tenon (Festool Domino) construction.  Epoxy joints.  Top and shelf are monolithic construction, but on sliders for wood expansion/contraction.  Top is epoxy coated.  All sides of wood are sealed.  Final 3 coats of spar varnish covers everything.  I keep it covered under a cover, so not too much exposure to the elements.

Large egg - table is 6'+ wide.

Can anyone put a date on this guy?

Just picked up my first BGE, very excited to get started! I think this guy is circa 1990s, but can't figure it out. Have some pics of the serial, but they are hard to read. Handle is of the smaller variety, dome is of the shorter and firering seems little different. Any thought on the age of this XL?

Table with Blackstone griddle built in

wooden carrying device that converts into table for small egg

I have been gone for a long time but remember someone sharing plans for building a stand for the small egg that flips over and becomes a carrying device for the small with handles.  Does anyone remember this and if so could it be re-posted.  I can't seem to find it.

replacement casters for small & large nest

I have both small and large nests and the caster are basically frozen and the wheels starting to fall apart.  Has anyone found good replacements that roll easier and last longer?

Finally finished!

After foregoing vacations, cutting costs whenever possible and saving many pennies, we've created our own little backyard retreat.  We now have a great place to cook, crack open a beer, relax and hang with friends.   We been having a lot of fun with our new toys!

My New LBGE Table

Ok, so I apologize in advance, but this is very picture heavy.  At this point, I only have the cabinet door handles left to put on, and they aren't in yet, so I thought now would be appropriate to show off my table.  Since it's relatively late I will only post the pics, but will try to post my thoughts, my critical dimensions, and my lessons learned.

My double BGE Table in progress

Well, here is 3 weeks of work so far.  I am just about ready to start the top...

I built this from Red Cedar that was rough sawn wood from a local sawmill.  Having to plane it all out makes it twice the work.  My garage smells so good right now Image may be NSFW.

What is the best way to cook pizza on the egg?  Do I need to evelvate it, similar to pizza oven cooking...do it use corn meal, stone, etc...

and some bacon. Placed the fire ring and plate setter from my mini maxx on top of my large plate setter and pizza stone. Turned out pretty tasty.

My Aluminum LBGE table in progress

I have needed a table for a while now. I bought a used large BGE over a year 1/2 ago it came with a wood stand that had been burned around the egg.

I just got a new Hobart welder and a spool gun to weld aluminum. I never welded aluminum before so YouTube to the rescue. I have my BGE on a wooded deck so I wanted a stand that will not burn.

I went to the Steel surplus place and bought 36 pounds aluminum for $1 a pound. Over the weekend I started my stand.
